Work, Work, Work

i have been and will be working my oh so precious three weeks of holidays away. work, work, work. it gets quite tiring towards the end of the day. 11 hours, what do you think? but my boss is a pretty nice guy, he lets me go home to have my meals and take a bath and give phenyl a pat on the head etc ... oh and to use the toilet, haha. i don't like the toilet there :P

for those who don't already know, i'm working at a tuition centre behind my house as an admin assistant. that explains the going home every few hours ;)

i've been playing the sims 2, again. its still pretty addicting. hehe

ok, shall go chase some series before i fall asleep soon.

Holidays!

i'm on holi-holiday! *grins* exams was ok, i think.

i applied for a job and i got it. the fella said he'll call me to confirm all the details this week. so, we'll see how it goes. but, still am seriously thinking whether i should take the job. it would require top notch time management, juggling classes, assignments and work. also, i'm going in to my final year.

i just recently attended my grandfather's funeral, only days after my friend's mom's. its the first time i've actually attended a funeral, funeral. get what i mean. in the past, usually only my parents will attend. it was an interesting experience.

on a happier note, my year end trip to australia has been approved by my parents. woohoo!!! i'm quite surprised they did *grins*. to esther and su ann *hint*hint* but if i go at the end of the year, their parents will be there for their graduation ceremony. so we shall see how ;). my mom and brother might want to go london, and uncles and aunties are planning a trip to macao. i really wanna go london! miss that place. so we'll see how everything turns out. all are very preliminary at the moment.

Decisions

there are decisions to be made ... should i or should i not? hmmm ....

i saw this advertisement on Astro for a show called "Eureka". it had three equations which i found very interesting, only one which i remembered.

Life - Dreams = Job

Patience or Ignorance?

i'm either getting more patient (by God's grace!) or i'm becoming ignorant. these days every time my mom nags or have a sudden swing in her mood, i'll just be very very silent.

Mom: *nags*nags*nags*
Me: *silent*
Mom: *nags*nags*nags*
Me: *continue doing whatever i was doing*

usually i'll have something to say, but now, biar only. what say you?

proper update after exams, last paper on the 20th. can't wait! holidays, here i come! *jumps in head first* :D

Neglected

My poor bloggie has been neglected with the chatterbox kaput-ed, ooops :P Just finish the first round of assignments, its crazy!!! The second round starts at the end of the month. I've been chasing series because the download speed these days is unusually fast, which means that my com is very quickly filling up, which then means no space! Only solution, watch lah, right? ;)

But, i have 2 quizes and a presentation next week, need to start studying! soon lah, soon. Malas wanna go uni on wednesday, class only starts at 2, then after that is CF and home, with a bit of traffic jam.

US series are starting soon! woo hoo! Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Private Practice, House. Wheeee. Not sure whether there is Heroes and Prison Break.

On a side note, Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-2 this morning, woohoo! Chelsea, here we come!

The Ups and Downs of a Uni Student

i've been tahan-ing for 3 weeks now, not to blog about my lecturer. but cannot tahan already lah. she has such poor english! which doesn't make the already boring subject any better @_@. at first i had a slight glimmer of hope that MAYBE her written english is better than her spoken english, considering she has already done her PHD. but yesterday my hope was shattered and thus here i am blogging.

on my first day in her lecture, she "mispronounce" words even though she is only reading straight from the powerpoint slides. for example, universally became university, and a few more which i can't remember at the moment. maybe next time i should write it down :P. then came yesterday. it was a tutorial session and she was randomly writing stuff on the board while reading from the tutorial solutions (don't see the point in attending her tutorials, but still attend nonetheless). she spelled campaign - CAMPAIN (???). there it goes lah. i guess that's where spell check comes in handy when she did her thesis ehh?

the worst thing is, her lecture is my first class of the week. imagine what it does to my week. the other 3 lecturers are ok, although one looks like he's talking to himself when he's lecturing. i think i need to take more law units. that day i bumped into my IT law (int trade & income tax) lecturer. she made my week lah, reminded me how much fun i had in law classes.

the only class i look forward to every week is my last lecture on thursday. not only because its the last lecture, the lecturer likes to make fun of the uni, country and everything else. hehe. and the way he teaches is pretty effective, at least for me.

one last thing, go try out the World Vision One Life exhibition!!! Its in Mid Valley this weekend. I volunteered for the exhibition when it was held in uni. I had fun! though a little tired by the end of the week, but i guess its all worth it. I was stationed at the Merchandise counter (sell souvenirs). and the the official launching was in uni, so many celebs came (apparently). me, being a dungu with malaysian celebs, didn't recognise any of them (except Daniel Lee from M'sian Idol). Also in attendance is Elaine Dailey (?), the current Ms Malaysia (i think), Hitz FM cruisers and many more which i don't recognise. so go try out the exhibition, its FREE! and you can get the t shirt (by Ralph Lauren) / flip flops / car sticker at RM20 / RM15 / RM5 respectively, whereby all proceeds will go to Malaysian Care to help out the AIDS / HIV patients. After MV, it'll also be held in Kota Bahru and then Kuching.

you've got ONE life, do something!

The END

My holidays has officially come to an end. Had my first lecture on Monday in over three months. I was feeling really sleepy and it wasn't made any better by the lecturer's poor English. My timetable for this semester is actually not bad at all. On Mondays classes are 10 - 1 30, Tuesdays are 10 - 11 30, Wednesdays are 2 - 5 and 5 30 - 7 30 is CF, Thursdays are 8 - 12, and off on Fridays. Not bad ehh? No long breaks in between classes.

Continuing from the last post, during the weekend i went to Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya in Shah Alam for a Basic Outdoor Instructor Course organised by Ministry through Adventure Programs (MAPs). It was actually quite fun if you don't include the muscle aches, pimples and sunburn you get the next day, which is a killer, trust me. The activities during the course included Outdoor Games, Kayaking, Abseiling, Flying Fox and Archery.

I need something to kick me out of my holiday mood. I have a 500 word essay due next week and another the week after. Sei mou? Need to get out of holiday mood. Pronto. Also, i volunteered for the One Life Revolution program by World Vision and training is this Saturday. The program is held in Monash Uni campus from Wed to Sat next week. So far, I'm on duty on Wed and Thurs.

Oh, i started a new HK series. Ooops. =P. Ta!
